Winter
- Fall heating system inspections can be done by the homeowner to maximize safety, efficiency and savings on utility bills
- Change or clean filter once a month
- Set programmable or adjust manual thermostat down five (5) to ten (10) degrees at night time and whenever the house is going to be unoccupied
- Check all doors and windows, making sure they are properly sealed
- Replace batteries in carbon monoxide detector(s) and test to make sure it is working properly
- Replace batteries in smoke detector(s) and test to make sure it is working properly
- Have heating system inspected by a professional!
Summer
- Spring cooling system inspections can be done by the homeowner to maximize safety, efficiency and savings on utility bills
- Change or clean filter once a month
- Make sure all plants and over growth are trimmed back at least twelve inches (12") from the outdoor unit
- Set programmable or adjust manual thermostat up five (5) to ten (10) degrees at night time and whenever the house is going to be unoccupied
- Check all doors and windows, making sure they are properly sealed
- Replace batteries in smoke detector(s) and test to make sure it is working properly
- Have cooling system inspected by a professionall!
